When I adopted Lola in March 2024, I had no idea just how much my perspective on health and supplementation would expand. As someone who has always prioritized human health and wellness, stepping into the role of a dog mom made me realize that our pets deserve just as much care when it comes to their well-being.
A New Approach to Pet Health
From the moment I brought Lola home, I was determined to give her the best possible start. That meant diving into the world of pet nutrition and supplementation. I stocked up on dog vitamins, probiotics, and pumpkin (pro tip: pumpkin is magic for digestion!). Bone broth quickly became another staple—Lola absolutely loves it, and it has been a game changer for her gut health.
As I settled into life with Lola, my commitment to pet wellness only grew. Then came Koa, my German Shepherd and Cane Corso mix, and with him, a new set of considerations. Large breeds often face joint and hip issues, and I knew I didn’t want to wait until he was older and already struggling. Taking a proactive approach to his joint health became a top priority.
